Mount and Blade style game- fantastic design decision. The combat is really fun, and for me its the lords, both your own and your rivals who make it- it can lend to some really great moments when a particular lord has become a throne in your side (Kelvin the Bold- my first playthrough consistently beat back my armies from taking the east region :P). Its little things like this that lend a weird kind of immersion i guess that makes the game great to play- i'm looking forward to how it develops- thus far great little game and would recommend :).. Just finished it !I've made it around 6 hours, unlocked 30 of the 40 success. Nice little game, i like the idea, the castle and camps upgrades are simple but cool . Maybe too short, but ive enjoyed every bit of it, even if it can be a little repetitive. Might be nice to get some new maps , or a bigger one , and at best , a faction system ! Once you get the idea of what work and what doesn't , the game get pretty easy, it's just a matter of time to take all the castles . Anyway, those are just what id like to see in it ! Good work guys ! Waiting for next update ! :). It's ok.It has some neat ideas but it comes down to a kind of busy work button smasher.You attack enemy units in RTS levels with either X or Y (I played with the Xbox Controller) and you can do combos you can unlock and you also can unlock various skills and improvements for you and your minions who help you.So you take over region by region by region. Attacking villages and castles over and over again.I made the mistake to not use the knights until my last few regions, so I would have completed the game much earlier.So yeah it looks nice and has a good art style in my opinion, but when the game has to render minions at 1000 or so, the framerate breaks down to 10-20. This is a minor problem, granted, but could be better.Overall I recommend the game for people like me who sometimes just want to play a game while watching videos or podcasts, or people who like to test their skills with the switching between both attacks and combos.And only on Sale or in a bundle.. A lot of fun, but a pretty quick game. The other modes add some nice replayability.. It's ok for what it is, worth the $2 I paid. It's a 2d isometric Mount and Blade dumbed down as far as you could go.The design problems are severe. You will get to max level about 20% through a playthrough. The skills say you can upgrade your troops but at max level they still lose in equal numbers to enemy mobs who don't have a commander. Playing with the actual combat system or using most of the active skills in untenable. You will only ever be spamming "super slash" which kills mobs, or "flurry" which cripples commanders. This is mainly because you are made of glass and are barely a match for normal troops in a straight fight while enemy commanders can fight outnumbered 50:1 for minutes at a time.It's an extreme grind with little to keep you engaged.
